We’re a small team building Turf in the open. The fastest way to reach us is email — we read every message.
Questions, feedback, or just want to compare notes on governing infrastructure AI? Write to contact@turf.build.
We’re looking for teams working on layered infrastructure, policy gates, and AI under real governance constraints. Design partners get white-glove onboarding, direct roadmap influence, and discounted commercial terms while we build together. Start the conversation →
Planning to run Turf in production? Commercial licensing is coming — tell us about your use case at contact@turf.build.
Found a vulnerability? Please report it privately to security@turf.build rather than opening a public issue.

About us
We’re Eron and Tonya Wright, co-founders of Turf LLC, a family-run business operating out of Depoe Bay, Oregon, USA. We started Turf because we think the IaC community is ready for a new Terraform®-class tool, one with semantic reasoning and built for integrators.
Eron has spent his career at the foundations of cloud infrastructure. As a former principal engineer at Pulumi, he was a developer and maintainer of the Pulumi Kubernetes Operator, Pulumi providers, and the Pulumi Go Provider SDK.
Before Pulumi, he built SaaS data-streaming platforms based on Kubernetes and Apache Flink, and earlier still he helped shape Microsoft’s first Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering as part of the core Azure team. Across all of it, one thread holds: a focus on making powerful infrastructure safer and easier to operate.
At Turf, Eron leads the engineering team — turning years of hands-on IaC experience into a reconciliation engine that reasons about your infrastructure instead of blindly grinding through a dependency graph.
Tonya is the founder and photographer behind Nest & Love Photography, a business she’s run on the Oregon Coast for nearly a decade. A commercial and lifestyle photographer known for moody, cinematic imagery — blending photojournalism with a nostalgic, film-inspired aesthetic — she has documented more than 200 weddings and 300 couples’ sessions, and created brand work for dozens of small businesses. Her photography has been published in multiple magazines, including two covers.
Running a client-driven business for that long takes exactly the instincts a young company needs: earning trust, understanding what people truly want, and delivering it on time and with care. That customer obsession is Tonya’s north star, and it’s the standard she holds Turf to. Where Eron thinks about what Turf can do, Tonya keeps us honest about what our customers actually need.
She also brings a deep commitment to community. Through Nest & Love she has donated thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours, and more than 90 photo sessions to nonprofits, schools, and neighbors who deserved to be seen — supporting causes from ocean conservation with the Marine Mammal Institute to the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity. That same generosity of spirit is one we want at the heart of how Turf treats its customers and its community.
Tonya handles daily operations at Turf.
Every day, we trust infrastructure tools to make changes to our most important environments and resources. The risk of disruption and data loss is frankly understated, and increases as these tools are hidden below layers of automation, simply because visibility decreases.
We believe reasoning LLMs, used safely and deliberately, bring much-needed supervision to infrastructure ops. We want to “shift-right” the semantic knowledge about your resources and policies towards the point where infrastructure is actually touched. Meanwhile, users want to “shift-left” their infrastructure configurations using Terraform modules and HCL. LLMs are increasingly responsible for writing those configurations — how about implementing them?
At the same time, users and organizations don’t want click-ops at AI speed. Turf drives infrastructure change using Terraform plans that are subject to human approval, policy checks, and more. The LLM serves as the executor of the plan, following a strict TODO list and observing the effects.
We’re thrilled to bring this modern approach to the IaC community — and we’d love for you to be part of it. Have a question, or just want to talk shop? Get in touch.
