Privacy
turf.build is a static site. There is no account to create, no backend, and no analytics or advertising cookie until you accept them.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether we may set measurement cookies. Until you
choose Accept, no analytics or advertising script is loaded at all. If you choose
Decline, none is ever loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser under
turf.consent — it never leaves your device.

referrers, so we know which pages are useful. IP addresses are handled by Google; see the

visit followed one of our LinkedIn posts or ads. See LinkedIn's

estimates the organization a visit comes from. It sets no cookie, and Scarf does not keep
your IP address. Scarf's terms
also let it use and share what it receives for its own purposes. See
Scarf's privacy policy.We use all three for aggregate measurement. We do not sell data, and we do not combine it with anything else to identify you personally.
Our links to papers and to the install script go through get.turf.build, where
Scarf counts each download and estimates the organization it comes from, as it does for the
pixel, then redirects to the file on turf.build. A request that sends DNT: 1 or
Sec-GPC: 1 is not counted, and https://turf.build/install.sh serves the
same script directly. The script downloads Turf™ and the engine's dependency from GitHub.
The site is served by GitHub Pages, which records standard request logs including IP addresses. That happens at the network level, before any page of ours runs, and is covered by the GitHub privacy statement.
